What to expect
Many eye conditions develop slowly and without obvious symptoms. A comprehensive examination is often the first place early changes are picked up, whether that’s a shift in your prescription or something in the health of the eye itself.
We recommend an eye examination every one to two years for most adults, and more frequently if you have diabetes, a family history of eye disease, or you are over 60. If it has been a while since your last check, or you have noticed any change in your vision, it is worth booking a time.
Your examination starts with a conversation about your vision, your health and any concerns you have. We then work through a series of tests, including retinal photography and corneal topography where appropriate, and take the time afterwards to explain what we found in plain language.
